The Akkuyu NPP
Turkey
About the project
The Akkuyu NPP (Turkish: Akkuyu Nükleer Güç Santrali) is a nuclear power plant under construction on the southern coast of Turkey. Intens Engineering acts as a contractor for the construction of this NPP.
The Akkuyu NPP is being built according to a Russian concept, which includes planning, design, construction, commissioning, operation and decommissioning of four power units with VVER-1200 reactors. The agreement for the plant construction was signed in May 2010.
The electrical generation capacity of each unit in the Akkuyu NPP will be 1200 MW, and the total capacity of the four power units will be 4800 MW.
According to the intergovernmental agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Turkey, the first power unit should be operational within seven years of the construction license being obtained.
The first power unit should be operational within seven years of the construction license being obtained. The total cost of construction is about $20 billion.
The design solutions applied in the construction of the Akkuyu NPP meet all the modern global nuclear community requirements as set out in the IAEA safety standards.

The El Dabaa NPP
Egypt
About the project
A joint project between the Russian Federation and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The first and only nuclear power plant in the Arab Republic of Egypt, which will house four power units with VVER-1200 reactors.
These are Generation III+ reactors and they are considered the safest in the world.
On this project, INTENS ENGINEERING is conducting a financial and technical audit of the construction and installation works at the complex.

The Kursk NPP-2
Russia
About the project
The nuclear power plant under construction is located in the Kursk region. The purpose of the construction of the Kursk NPP-2 is to replace the power units No. 1 and No. 2 of the Kursk NPP after the end of their service life. The implementation of the project with new generation VVER-TOI power units for increased safety and improved technical and economic characteristics is envisaged. The total installed capacity of the two NPP units is ~ 2,510 MW. The thermal power of the reactor is 3,312 MW. After construction is completed and the units commissioned, each power unit of the Kursk NPP-2 will operate in normal operation with annual electricity generation and heat supply for consumers for 60 years. The main socio-economic effects are to reduce the risks of energy shortages in the region and to supply electricity to the unified energy system of the Center.
INTENS ENGINEERING is involved in the construction of this facility as a contractor.

A Cross-Border Cable Car across the Amur River between the cities of Blagoveshchensk (Russia) and Heihe (China) with a passenger terminal
Russia
About the project
The facility on the Russian side consists of a passenger terminal with an integrated cable car station and a freestanding metal lattice cable car line support. In the passenger terminal there is: a land border checkpoint, security checkpoints, passenger service areas, and commercial areas. The built-up area is 11,188.22 square meters; the total area of the building is 26,088 square meters; the horizontal length is 976.28 meters. The cable car consists of two lines. On this project, INTENS ENGINEERING serves as a technical customer.
The scheduled date of commissioning is the end of 2023.

Almazov National Medical Research Centre in Saint Petersburg
Russia
About the project
The Almazov National Medical Research Centre is one of the largest scientific and medical institutions in the Russian Federation, providing specialized high-tech medical care to the population. The construction of the scientific and clinical neurosurgical complex is carried out for the needs of the Federal State Budgetary Institution «Almazov North-West Federal Medical Research Center». As part of the first stage of work, a 150 bed medical and diagnostic facility with an area of over 42 thousand square meters, as well as a 180 bed treatment and rehabilitation complex with an area of 19 thousand square meters are being built. At the second stage, a research facility is planned to be built.
INTENS ENGINEERING participates in the construction as an expert in the following areas:
• construction audit, including incoming inspection of working and budget documentation, and materials;
• assessment of the volume and quality of work performed;
• financial audit, including monitoring the targeted expenditure of funds, monitoring the compliance of the cost of purchased materials and equipment with the current market conditions;
• assessing and avoiding risks in the implementation of the investment project.
